Ford Verve

Ford has announced the arrival of a new special edition of the high performance Focus ST. Called the Ford Focus ST500, and priced from £20,495, it will be available to just 500 UK customers.

The Ford Focus ST500 is based on the top-of-the-range Focus ST3 with the addition of unique features. All models are finished in metallic black with classic silver bonnet, roof and side stripes which are designed to echo the livery of the winning GT40 in the 1-2-3 victory at Le Mans in 1966.

2010 BMW 5-Series


new 2010 5-Series, it’s worth noting the other cars in its class, particularly its archrival. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is also new for the 2010 model year, and brings with it a new two-door E-Class Coupe that replaces the old CLK-Class two-door. Diesel and wagon versions are expected. Audi revamps its A6 sedan for the 2009 model year with a revamped front end and a revised engine and transmission range. The Infiniti M sedan remains an attractive alternative to the German sedans; it’s also due for a replacement in the next 18 months, while the current car retains its V-8 and all-wheel-drive options.

Alfa Romeo 159 1750 TBi (2010)At the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, Alfa Romeo unveiled numerous major developments heralding the re-launch of the brand on the global stage. Protagonist of the event was the new Alfa Romeo 159 (saloon and Sportwagon versions). The new 159 is designed to express a sporting yet seductive personality and boasts road holding and performance that set new standards for this class of car. Two new engines in particular (a 200 HP, 1750 cc turbocharged petrol engine and a 170 HP 2.0 JTDM diesel) place the Alfa Romeo 159 firmly in market segment D, in the power range that accounts for over half of Alfa Romeo sales.


Volkswagen Touareg

Volkswagen is presenting in Paris the world premiere of a new generation of the Touareg luxury class SUV. The market launch of the new version of the top-seller will take place at the end of November 2006. The Touareg, equipped with over 2,300 redesigned parts, looks different from its predecessor with a completely modified front section with crest radiator grill, distinctive headlights and much more. In addition, a substantial amount of new and sometimes unique technical developments are being employed. The Touareg will also be available as the first Volkswagen with an eight cylinder direct injection gasoline-powered engine (V8 FSI, 257 kW / 350 hp).

Skoda Tudor Concept (2002)


The Skoda Tudor Concept was introduced at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show where, with its bold design, it attracted much attention.

It is based on the Skoda Superb executive limousine, but with lowered suspension, sport tuned chassis and a six-cylinder engine with an output of 142 kW. Inside the three-spoke steering wheel and aluminum touches to the dashboard and the dials give the interior of the Skoda Tudor Concept a sporty feel.

All three six-cylinder powerplants surpass the latest strict EU5 emissions standards.
The BMW Z4 sDrive30i comes with a 2,996cc powerplant offering 258hp at 6,600rpm and 310Nm of torque from 2,600rpm. The six-cylinder engine records a zero to 62mph time of 5.8 seconds (6.1 seconds for the Sports Automatic) and an electronically-limited top speed of 155mph. Like the Z4 sDrive23i, the Z4 sDrive30i posts impressive combined consumption and CO2 emissions figures, recording 33.2mpg (34.0mpg) and 199g/km (195g/km). Transmitting the power to the road in all three Z4s is a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. Customers of the Z4 sDrive23i and the Z4 sDrive30i who prefer the characteristics of an automatic can specify a six-speed Sport Automatic transmission featuring gear change paddles on the steering wheel. Buyers of the Z4 sDrive35i can choose the more advanced seven-speed Double Clutch Transmission, again with gear shift paddles located on the steering wheel.
